Knott’s Scary Farm 2019 takes you inside a supernatural sanitarium where doctors torture patients – OCRegister

Knott’s Berry Farm will take visitors on a terrifying journey inside the Hayden Hill Sanitarium and into the depths of hell during Halloween Haunt 2019.

The Paranormal Inc. haunted maze will return for Halloween Haunt 2019, Knott’s officials announced today, Aug. 14.

Knott’s Scary Farm 2019, the granddaddy of theme park haunted attractions, will run on select nights from Sept. 19 through Nov. 2 at the Buena Park theme park.

The backstory for Paranormal Inc. finds a team of ghost hunters from a cable TV show investigating a haunted hospital where patients have been tortured for decades by deranged doctors. The evil medical staff prowls the halls looking for new patients while the demonic spirits of their murdered victims haunt the sanitarium.

Introduced in 2015, the maze offers interactive story lines, branching paths and aerial stunts as visitors team up with the ghostbusters from the fictional “Paranormal Inc.” television show.

In years past, the Paranormal Inc. maze has opened with a demonic specter flying across the lobby of the sanitarium. Other scenes included a mesmerizing spinning red laser that made a funnel in the fog and a hideous animatronic beast that emerged from the mist near a rickety suspension bridge.

Paranormal Inc. joins the previously announced lineup of Knott’s Scary Farm 2019 haunted mazes that include Special Ops: Infected and Dark Ride. Additional mazes are expected to be announced in the next few weeks.

Knott’s will host an announcement event for the 47th season of Halloween Haunt on Aug. 29 in the Charles M. Schulz Theatre. Tickets for Knott’s Halloween Haunt 2019 are available now online.
