HINSDALE, NY — The Hinsdale House will be part of a nationwide World’s Largest Ghost Hunt event from Friday through Sunday.
The events begin on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and continue through 4 a.m. Sunday. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the events are virtual this year instead of in-person as they were in past years. The ghost hunt will be streamed on the YouTube page of Daniel Klaes, owner of the Hinsdale House. The livestream will follow a private ghost hunting team at the Wildwood Sanitarium in Salamanca and the Hinsdale House.
According to Klaes, the ghost hunting team will attempt to communicate with the dead. Other private ghost hunting teams will make similar attempts at the same time around the country, according to the National Ghost Hunting Day website.
At both the Wildwood Sanitarium and the Hinsdale House, Klaes and the ghost hunting team will go through the same process. Klaes hopes to create a collective consciousness to create a bridge to talk to the dead.
According to Klaes’s website, the Hinsdale House has been the home for mysterious activity, as well as exorcisms.
The World’s Largest Ghost Hunt is a paranormal investigation experience in which teams search haunted properties every year to give the public an insight into the paranormal world.
