A new historic walk with a paranormal twist is set to hit the streets of Taunton in the new year.
Extours are offering families of Taunton a chance to find out more about the dark history of the town in 2023.
The tours will take place in March, with locals being urged to book a spot on the tour well in advance.

A spokesperson for Extours posted on social media: “Join us for the historical walking tour of Taunton with a paranormal twist. We will delve deep into the darker history of this area and you will also learn about many ghosts that are reputed to haunt this town and many of its buildings.
“There have been many battles and executions in and around the town, therefore it is a surprise to learn that many spirits of people associated with those events (such as Hanging Judge Jeffreys and the Duke of Monmouth) have been spotted here. Taunton is well known to paranormal investigators and there is much recorded paranormal evidence associated with the area. Most Haunted even visited some years back.
“Our events have been described as the perfect combination of history and paranormal, you will even have the opportunity to make use of various paranormal investigation technologies and do some ghost-hunting for yourself.”
The dates available for the tour are as follows:

- Saturday, March 11
- Wednesday, March 15
- Wednesday, March 22
- Friday, March 24
- Saturday, March 25
- Wednesday, March 29
The walk will last around 90 minutes and a ticket per person will cost locals £10.
