The 41-year-old said: “One of the paranormal investigators from Help My House Is Haunted saw what I was doing with online regressions and she passed my name over to the production team who make the show.
“We were at the house of a lady who had converted an old Methodist church, and she had encountered spiritual activity. One experience she had was the hymn ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ all of a sudden came on through her speaker system which is attached to a device similar to an Alexa, as well as being touched by something which is not there.
“The lady thought, due to the conversion of the building, the spirits there were trying to convey they were not happy with what she was doing to the building.”
Help My House Is Haunted paranormal investigator Barri Ghai asked Paul to regress him back to 1825 to a place memory of the Methodist church.
Paul said: “I was able to hypnotise Barri through layers of time in a spiritual way. He wanted to go back to 1825 to see the chapel.
“It was very successful. Barri had his eyes closed throughout the process. What was remarkable is that he did not bump into any wall as he made his way through the building, and he was able to describe to me what he was seeing.
“He was interacting with people from 1825. In particular he was speaking to and asking questions to a man called Arther who was part of the Methodist movement.”
After Paul had brought Barri round from the regression, mediums carried out their own investigation in the building.
Paul said: “When the production team watched and listened back to the video recording, they captured the sound of a woman humming ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’.
“I have seen some strange things during hypnosis and regression, but I would love to be able to do something like this again. At the time, this whole experience really blew me away.”
